Worship & Church Events

    Pig Roast & Ministry Fair
    September 7, 2014

    Begins at 4:00pm. This annual fellowship and ministry event allows you to enjoy a meal with the church family and to review displays of ministries and shepherding groups at FBC. Kids always have a great time at the Fun Fair on the church lawn.

     

    See You At the Pole RALLY
    September 21, 2014 – 6:00pm @ Bethel AOG
    Area youth groups gather to encourage each other to attend the SYATP event.
    See You At the Pole Event
     September 24, 2014 – 7:00am at junior high & senior high flag poles

    See You at the Pole is an annual gathering of Christian students of all ages at a flagpole in front of their local school for prayer, scripture-reading and worship, during the early morning before school starts.  This year’s theme is Never Stop Praying (Ephesians 6:18).

     

    Combined Worship Service
    October 26, 2014 @ 10:30am

    FBC will bring together both Sunday AM services on Sunday, October 26, @ 10:30am. This allows for the ministry of others using our parking lot for the City of Sycamore’s Annual Pumpkin Parade.

    • Nurseries are available for children 0-age 4 during each service
    • A signer is available at the 10:30am service for our hearing-impaired guests

    6:00pm – Shepherding Groups
    6:00pm – Jr. High Youth Group

    Nurseries are available for children 0-age 4 during Wednesday activities

    Monthly Events

    senior potluckThe THIRD Thursday of each month from noon to 2pm … join with others, ages 55 and over, for a time of food, fellowship, games and discussion. Just bring a dish to pass. Feel free to invite a friend or neighbor!
    gamesThe second and fourth Friday of each month from 6:30 to 9:30pm … join with women, ages 18 and over, for a time of fellowship, games and discussion.  Just bring a snack to share.  Feel free to invite a friend or a neighbor.
    PracticeofGodlinessAll men, age 18 and over … Bring yourself and a friend, neighbor or relative to a men’s breakfast here at FBC @ 8:00am the first Saturday of each month.  On each of the other Saturday mornings at 8:00am there is a study written by Jerry Bridges called The Practice of Godliness.
